Meet The Founders
Ryan Heine
Ryan grew up in the Kansas City metro area and was the youngest of three boys where he was exposed to baseball at a very young age. He played baseball and basketball through high school before deciding that he had another calling as an umpire.
Ryan attended the Hunter Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School and upon graduation started working in the American Association of Independent Baseball. He also umpired in the Jayhawk, MIAA collegiate conferences before moving out to Colorado where he met his wife Michelle.
Upon moving to Colorado, Ryan was hired by the RMAC Conference where he worked the 2013 RMAC Conference tournament. He gave up umpiring to coach baseball full-time because he felt he could have more of an impact on young people's lives in the dugout. Ryan and Michelle have two children and currently reside in Arvada.
Evan Bell
Evan grew up in Leawood, Kansas and went to Blue Valley High. He played two seasons of varsity baseball there and was a 1st Team All State pitcher and first basemen both seasons. His senior year, Blue Valley finished 3rd in the state tournament and Evan was named the Kansas 5A Player of the Year.
After High School, Evan attended Indiana University. At IU, his team played in the College World Series, hosted two regionals and was a top 8 national seed. The summer after his junior year, he played in the Cape Cod League and won a championship with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
After college, Evan was signed as a free agent by the Chicago White Sox organization. He also spent time in two independent professional baseball leagues.
At Natural Baseball Colorado, Evan works with our youth and high school teams providing pitching and hitting instruction, heads up our High School program and coaches one of our high school teams.
